Recently, Meg did a training with a school on trans* issues and in preparation for that training, she and her wonderful co-faciltator Perry Cohen of the Venture Out Project developed a handout of “Top 5 Trans* Ally Principles.”

While they can guarantee that when presented in person these ideas are much more dynamic than the printed page, Meg wanted to share the handout with you in case others were looking for just such a resource! Without further ado here is the PDF!

While it is hard to distill all the ways to be a trans* positive and affirming ally down into 5 principles, Meg and Perry did their best to create something useful, easily-digestible, and single sided! This lead to a wild simplification of ideas that they both know well-and-good are not this simple. However, we all have to start somewhere and they believe this is a good place to start!

Let them know what you think in the comments below! Feedback is always welcome as the resources are always evolving along with the world and people they hope to help!

Special thanks to Perry for collaborating in this resource. Check out Perry’s adventuring with LGBTQ+ identified adults and youth in the woods, wilderness, and beyond at VentureOutProject.com!
